New Nema Chicken Vacinators!
Newcastle’s Disease kills thousands of domestic chickens every year. Many poor households depend upon these chickens and their eggs, and the loss of this most valuable resource can have a devastating effect on the family. With technical expertise from the Aga Khan Foundation, Nema brought together seven local volunteers for extensive training in chicken vaccination. With 3,000 vaccines ready to go, the Nema “vaccinators” are already making their way around the villages offering affordable vaccines for every household with chickens.
