New Enterprises for Vulnerable Groups
Nema’s community health worker, Rema Salimo, spent this month training up two vulnerable groups – orphaned and vulnerable children and pregnant women – to produce colourful door hangings for sale at Guludo Beach Lodge. Using local material, the children make tight little sand-filled balls, which are then attached by the women to long strips of material to create bright and lively door-hangings. By paying all those involved a contribution for their work, this is just one of the ways that Nema provides financial support to these groups.
